Wednesday 19 July 10.30am-3.30pm
Meet at Thornham Walks car park, Gislingham Road, Thornham Magna, near Eye IP23 8HH. The workshop will be in Thornham Walks classroom.
Cost: £15/£12 W&BA/SPS members
Walking the Labyrinth is a meditation. There are no tricks or dead ends; there is only one way in and one way out. The aim of the workshop is to draw from the experience of walking the Labyrinth to inspire reflective poetry. As the labyrinth will be in the open air, those reflections may be about the experience of the natural world or they may draw on the symbolism of the journey inwards and outwards. Join poet Beth Soule to learn a little about labyrinths and walk the labyrinth in the morning. After a few warm-up writing exercises, we will spend the afternoon recording the experience and crafting the beginnings of poetry.
Teas and coffees included. Bring your own lunch or café by car park.
